CHRISTMAS TREE HEALTHY SNACK FOR KIDS
Here's a festive afterschool activity for kids—have them decorate their own edible Christmas trees as an afterschool snack (or edible party activity)! This is a great alternative to crunchy trail mix if your kids can't eat nuts. It’s also an excellent way to get kids to eat healthy fruits and vegetables. Kids are more likely to eat snacks that they help make.
INGREDIENTS
1 cup sugar snap peas
Organic fresh blueberries
Organic dried goji berries
2 slices good-quality cheese
Gluten-free rice crackers
DIRECTIONS
- Lay snap peas on a plate like Christmas tree branches.
- Decorate tree with blueberries and goji berries.
- Use a cookie cutter to make a star out of cheese for the top of the tree.
- Cut thin strips in the other slice of cheese and place on crackers to make gifts for under the tree.
Did you know? Organic dried goji berries are a large source of nutrition and antioxidants that many have called the most nutrient-dense fruit on Earth.
