On January 14, 2025Trail Mixer Events: January 11, 10 am. Family Walk & Tree Planting event at Weston Trail (2 miles round trip). Meet us at Weston Park to plant trees and then take a short walk on the Weston Trail where you’ll have views of Santee Lakes and the beautiful mountain ranges that surround Santee. January 14, 3 pm. Cowles Mountain Hike starting at the Santee Teen Center (90 minutes). Hike up the backside of Cowles Mountain with the Santee Teen Center staff and participants! We’ll meet at the Santee Teen Center before hiking for 45 minutes up and then 45 minutes back down. This trail is difficult so please bring appropriate footwear and plenty of water! January 25, 10 am. Walker Preserve Trail Hike starting at the Santee Historical Society (2.6-mile round trip). On the trail, you’ll be treated to a guided hike by a member of the San Diego River Park Foundation. Walker Preserve Trail is Santee’s most family-friendly and a popular trail in San Diego County.
